We've reinvented the drivetrain with SRAM RED® eTap. Now, we are maximizing that freedom. SRAM eTap Clics extension shift buttons allow you to effortlessly shift gears without changing your hand position. Changing so easy, you barely have to lift a finger.

Air:

Using 128-bit encryption, eTap shift signals are transmitted and received according to SRAM's proprietary wireless protocol known as AIREA. Each time an eTap group is paired, a new encryption code is generated and assigned to the components of this group to ensure complete security of the changes.

eTap:

All of the underlying technology in our new SRAM RED® eTap groupset, such as wireless shifting, advanced battery power management and mechatronics technologies, are intended to serve one ultimate purpose: to facilitate the most intuitive and consistent shifting available. This switching logic is called eTap. The right lever makes it harder, the left lever makes it easier, both levers move the front derailleur. Simple, unmistakable and intuitive.
