DEORE XT Durability and performance for today's mountain bikers
The new DEORE Adjustable ISPEC-EV, precision 12-speed rear derailleur and derailleur, ICE TECHNOLOGIES FREEZA rapid cooling rotors and complete XC or Enduro wheelsets, all tailored to the needs of today's mountain bikers.
Brakes: DEORE XT brake calipers are available in an XC-specific 2-piston version and a Trail/Enduro 4-piston version. The 2-piston version shares the same design as the previous inspired by the XTR M9100, with which it shares the N03A (resin) and N04C pickups (also compatible with D03S and D02S).
DEORE The levers now come in two positions on the handlebars to provide a stiffer braking feel. They also have dials that allow braking adjustment while driving.
The XC brake kit (BR-M8100-BL-M8100) with rotors (160mm RT-MT800) and pads weighs 392g and the Enduro kit (BR-M8120-BL-M8100) weighs 410g including rotors and pads.
- TECHNOLOGIES
· ICE TECHNOLOGIES: The loss of braking efficiency due to overheating, which can occur in the brake disc and pad when braking on long descents for example, has a negative impact on braking performance. SHIMANO has adopted the ICE TECHNOLOGIES brake disc and ICE TECHNOLOGIES pad to realize cooling technology that provides reliable performance. The coated brake disc blade, which has a 3-layer sandwich structure of stainless steel, aluminum and stainless steel, provides better radiation performance and allows the surface temperature to go from 400°C to 300°C. Likewise, a radiation fin has been adopted for the pickup. In addition, the coated brake disc blade and radiator fin offer long pad life, less noise, less loss of braking efficiency due to overheating and light weight.
· ICE TECHNOLOGY Pads: Available in resin or metal composite, the optional radiation fin pad with 2-layer backplate (aluminum fin with stainless steel) improves radiation performance even further.
· ICE TECHNOLOGY piston to achieve light weight, high rigidity and optimal heat dissipation. Oversized pistons directly transfer hydraulic power to the brake pad and ceramic material is used to prevent heat transfer in order to obtain stable constant braking, providing efficient braking power transfer without loss
- ONE WAY BLEEDING has been developed for quick and easy prevention of the presence of air in our hydraulic system. We have rationalized the oil path in the system to avoid air bubbles in the system. One-way oil path, plus a funnel tool with mineral oil, provides an easy, clean bleeding system.
