TECHNOLOGIES

• SERVOWAVE ACTION: When a SERVOWAVE brake lever is pulled, the pad's initial travel is fast, so only a slight movement of the lever is needed to bring the pads into contact with the brake disc. The power multiplying factor then increases rapidly at the “pad/rim” contact point, so lever travel is used to apply more stopping power with greater control.
• REACH ADJUST : The brake lever is equipped with a reach adjust mechanism. The distance between the handlebar grip and the lever can be adjusted to suit any hand size or type of riding, as well as individual rider preferences.
• I-SPEC V: Simple construction with narrow brake lever clamp. More space on the handlebars and a cleaner look.
• ICE TECHNOLOGIES: Loss of braking efficiency due to overheating, which can occur in the brake disc and pad when braking on long descents for example, has a negative impact on braking performance. SHIMANO has adopted the ICE TECHNOLOGIES brake disc and ICE TECHNOLOGIES pad to realize cooling technology that provides reliable performance. The coated brake disc blade, which has a 3-layer sandwich structure of stainless steel, aluminum and stainless steel, provides better radiation performance and allows it to go from 400°C to 300°C surface temperature. Likewise, a radiation fin has been adopted for the pickup. In addition, the coated brake disc blade and radiator fin offer long pad life, less noise, less loss of braking efficiency due to overheating and light weight.
