Scott Spark Rc Team Issue 2023 Bike

Scott dual suspension mountain bike with carbon frame, FOX 34 SC Float Performance fork, Sram GX Eagle AXS 12-speed drivetrain, and Shimano XT M8100 disc brake.

The Spark RC Team Issue is the perfect mix of cutting-edge carbon engineering, never-before-seen levels of integration, and just the right amount of our secret sauce. We wanted this bike to be faster on both climbs and descents. We've lengthened the suspension travel, refined the geometry, and listened to the world's best athletes to create the ultimate cross country racing bike. If you are passionate about speed, you will love this mount.

TECHNOLOGIES:

  • NUDE SUSPENSION TECHNOLOGY
Shocks with NUDE technology have been used on SCOTT full suspension bikes for almost two decades. We work closely with our suspension manufacturing partners to continue improving this technology, so that you have optimal support, whether you are competing in the World Cup or spending a day enjoying great cycling in the mountains.
  • EVO-LAP TECHNOLOGY
Proper selection of materials constitutes eighty percent of the process of creating a painting, but the remaining twenty percent is the one that requires more attention. That's why we have chosen the most advanced carbon fibers on the market and have also used specific tools such as finite element analysis (FEA) software to determine the arrangement of the carbon fibers.
Thanks to our exclusive FEA software, we can simulate different forces applied to a virtual model of the frame in order to adjust its manufacturing even better. FEA software allows us to create complete virtual prototypes of complex products that incorporate all physical phenomena existing in real-world environments.
Using our Evo-Lap technology, we model the frame to optimize its surface, simulate tube structures with different orientations of the fiber layers, observe the results achieved with different configurations and test the stress distribution in different areas of the painting. With the help of the many functions of this computer modeling program, we have optimized the carbon layers of all parts of our frame. When we put the pieces of the first prototypes together, the result was a super light and compact frame without sacrificing stiffness, comfort or impact resistance. The entire range takes advantage of our Evo-Lap technology.
  • ADJUSTABLE STEERING ANGLE
With the new Spark, you can also close or open the steering angle by 0.6 degrees. And you can do it without cutting cables or bleeding the brakes. You just have to remove the handlebar, rotate the cups 180 degrees and reassemble it.
  • EASY ACCESS TO THE SHOCK ABSORBER
The shock absorber is accessed through a hatch located in the bottom bracket shell. This way we can control the rebound, compression and pressure of the suspension, in addition to installing or replacing the cable of our TwinLoc suspension system.
  • PATENTED INTEGRATED SUSPENSION SYSTEM
The platform with integrated shock absorber allows us to adapt the suspension characteristics without sacrificing weight. On a bike of this level, any improvement, no matter how small, becomes more important.
For maximum performance, a shock absorber needs the power transfer to be as direct as possible. We want to avoid inefficient movements, that is, lateral movements with respect to the direction of travel, especially when the shock absorber is in the compression phase.
Integrating the shock absorber allows us to improve this aspect in several ways. Firstly, the frame structure around the shock along with the Trunnion mount makes the design much stiffer, reducing movement and promoting more efficient power transfer. Additionally, we can mount much larger bearings in the seat tube pivot to further reinforce this area and reduce unnecessary movements. Our integrated suspension technology also helps us build frames with the shock in a lower position, thereby lowering the center of gravity. We thus obtain a better, more stable ride, with sensations that inspire security when riding.
Separately, they may seem like minor improvements, but the sum of their parts gives us more efficient cushioning and, in addition, the shock absorber is protected against external elements. Race in the rain? Don't worry, your shock absorber will continue to work perfectly anyway.
  • TOOL FOR REAR AXLE
The rear axle tool has been included on our bikes for years, and now it's better than ever. Includes T25, T30 and 6 Allen keys all in one. These three options allow you to adjust all the pivot components and almost everything else that needs to be adjusted on the bike.
  • SINGLE PIVOT SUSPENSION DESIGN
A bicycle with full suspension cannot succeed without, obviously, a good suspension design. From the first moment we tested it, we fell in love with the Spark's single-pivot design. Years go by, and we continue to think that it is the best option for technical cross country competition and for fast and demanding trails. The Spark's suspension has a very specific and proven kinematic composition, as well as a greater unsprung mass. Using a flexible pivot in the chainstay is a perfect solution for bikes with this range of travel. This allows us to keep the system very light while ensuring optimal suspension performance.
  • TWINLOC SUSPENSION SYSTEM
With the TwinLoc system, the rider can effectively control the entire frame, fork and shock as a single system. And why is this important? A bicycle with 150 mm of travel that is well regulated has more initial presink than a bicycle with 130 mm. And it is precisely that little bit more travel that makes these bikes transmit such good sensations and are the best for descents; The problem is that having a greater initial pre-sag affects the geometry of the bicycle and its performance on climbs. That is why the TwinLoc system is so important.
TwinLoc helps control the pre-sink effect in several ways. While all systems are limited to increasing compression at low speeds in order to improve pedaling efficiency, TwinLoc not only allows you to change the compression damping, but also the suspension curve dynamically by modifying the geometry of the suspension. bicycle. In Trail mode, the shock absorber is not only firmer, but also dynamically reduces its travel. The bike doesn't drop as much, maintains a steep seat angle for climbs, and is more agile. We also offer a third full lock mode that helps you climb with maximum efficiency.
These exclusive settings optimize the geometry on the accesses, even on bicycles with longer distances. We can eliminate the 'long travel effect' that takes away your efficiency when pedaling, but we are not going to take away all the fun that 150 mm travel brings you when you launch yourself into a descent. Whether you're racing, riding at lunchtime, or hitting the trail after work, the ability to switch from one suspension mode to another depending on your ride profile with the simple push of a lever ensures more speed and incredible sensations on the pedals.
  • SYNCROS FRASER IC COMBO
The New Spark includes a Syncros Fraser iC combo kit. Integrating the cables presents a number of specific problems and the Fraser set has been designed in part with just that in mind. SYNCROS designers have redesigned the shapes so that the cables can run under the handlebars and along the sides of the stem before disappearing into the head tube with integrated plastic parts that ensure cleanliness and efficiency. This prevents the cables from bending or twisting, and also finishes the front with a minimalist finish. All of our handlebar and stem designs include several options for mounting bike computers, lights and camera mounts, both above and below the handlebars.
