Step 1. On a gradual downhill slope, brake gently with each brake for 20-30 seconds, alternating front and rear. Repeat 2-3 times. P>
Step 2. On a steeper slope, use the brakes for 10-15 seconds and then increase pressure on the brake levers until the bike comes to a complete stop. Repeat 2-3 times. p>
Pro Tip: The front pads will have gotten hotter than the rear pads. For optimal performance, swap front and rear pads and repeat step 2. p>
CAUTION: Before removing or replacing brake pads, it is important to allow them to cool. p>
