TECHNOLOGIES

• SHEATH: KEB-SL linear steel strands around a Kevlar® wrapped Slick-Lube liner. A performance upgrade from coiled steel, this compression-free housing starts with a similar construction to the LEX derailleur housing that reduces weight by 30%. A woven layer of Kevlar ® is added to give the casing the strength and flexibility needed for braking applications.
• CABLE: STS-PS Smooth stainless steel cables undergo a polishing process to further eliminate imperfections. This creates a smoother surface with less friction than PTFE coated cables. Uncoated, these are very durable and compatible with all high performance housings and lubricants. It is typically used on high-end bicycles, by cyclists who want to improve performance. Gold tint is applied for easy identification.
