PureGrip compound

This technology, based on activated silica compounds, was originally intended as a performance level compound, but after intensive development at our Korbach Research and Development Department facility, a new advanced compound with excellent grip properties was developed. and cross country. This new rubber blend, with the self-explanatory name PureGrip, sits just behind our BlackChili compound and is used in our performance products in both the road and mountain bike sectors. While it provides great grip, it is also durable and very resistant, both characteristics of Continental tires, which are manufactured exclusively in the factory in Hefei (Asia).

Shieldwall System

The ShieldWall system combines the optimal combination of high puncture protection and low rolling resistance with low weight. This is made possible by an additional layer of puncture protection, which consists of a finely woven cross weave. This gives the tire high resistance to punctures and damage. Despite its additional layer, the tire has a very good damping property and a high degree of flexibility to adapt perfectly to the ground. Developed especially for the mountain bike industry, this additional layer of puncture protection that completely surrounds both tire beads makes our casings robust and impervious to damage and foreign object penetration. For maximum effect, we combine ProTection with BlackChili Compound. The result: versatile, light and attractive design.
