For Ekar, we have modified the Campagnolo Ergopower controls, adapting them specifically to gravel use but maintaining the advantages of the system: the renowned precision and maximum comfort offered by the Vari-Cushion covers. With the differential action levers you will never make a wrong shift, not even in the difficult off-road environment, since the proven Campagnolo One-Lever-One-Action philosophy guarantees perfect control.

Lever 3 has been redesigned, larger and C-shaped, easy to reach with the right thumb while pedaling with your hands high on the handlebars: the hand position most used by gravel cyclists. The Ergopower Ekar levers allow you to adjust the distance of the brake lever to adapt to the size of your hand and fingers and respond to the demands of your driving style. To further improve control on gravel rides, the aluminum brake lever and bracket covers are laser cut, with an additional weave to increase grip, regardless of the conditions. The laser construction is resistant to wear and tear caused by sweat, dirt and detergents – a gravel-proof solution. The internal Ultra-Shift mechanism controls the 13-speed shifting, allowing you to shift up to 3 cogs in a single movement. The reliability of individual downhill shifting is ideal for gravel rides on slippery, undulating and unpredictable surfaces.

Like the Ergopower controls, the other elements of the Ekar disc brake system are the evolution of the already proven Campagnolo hydraulic system, faithful to our philosophy of continuous improvement, high performance and Italian style. The internal hydraulics of the Ekar brake system are the same as the other Campagnolo calipers, which use mineral oil and allow optimal modulation, giving a distinctive and optimal feel on the road... and it works even better on gravel courses!

The Ekar caliper has a new design and a dedicated finish, which matches the other components of the gravel group. The DB310 pads - also compatible with other Campagnolo disc brakes - have a unique organic mixture that not only contributes to high braking performance but also to greater wear resistance: important in the difficult gravel world, on wet or dry terrain.
