The 1x system is ideal for gravel, with a 13-speed setup that allows you to work over a full range of gear ratios thanks to the use of a 9-tooth sprocket.

The Ekar 13-speed sprocket package is available in three options that complete the range and reflect the different specialties within the gravel scene, and each combination provides for a very fluid gear progression. Small jumps for the first 6 sprockets; The jumps increase in the second half, where the sprockets are larger. This feature allows you to offer an optimal cycling experience and helps you get the most out of your performance on difficult routes and terrain. The wide selection of larger sprockets allows for a more compact sprocket package for endurance events and longer gear ratios for more daring cyclists. Pinion pack combinations are associated with dedicated, easy-to-replace gears to ensure the widest range of gears, smooth steps, maximum efficiency and no waste, unlike 2x systems. Two of the three combinations are equipped with a 9-tooth pinion. Extensive comparative testing has shown that the 9-tooth sprocket is as efficient as any 10- or 11-tooth sprocket, without additional friction, through the special profile teeth, and without any loss of power produced.

Each package consists of two blocks: 4 smaller sprockets and 9 larger sprockets in the initial 9-tooth configuration; 3 smaller and 10 larger in the initial 10 tooth configuration. For greater mechanical resistance, a special steel is used with a satin nickel-chrome surface treatment that reduces wear and friction, ensuring optimal solidity for driving on unpaved roads. The sprockets have the new N3W freewheel body mounted, for now present in the Campagnolo Shamal Carbon wheels, but soon compatible with a wide range of wheels that are soon to be released. N3W is highly versatile and features the same grooved profiles of the classic Campagnolo freewheel body, but is lighter and 4.4mm shorter. With appropriate clamps and adapters, N3W is also compatible with all current and future Campagnolo 12, 11 and 10 speed groupsets, thanks to adapter kits that will soon be available. As all Campagnolo HH12 wheels for disc brakes are N3W compatible, your wheels can easily be made Ekar compatible: changing wheels is quick and easy!
