The absoluteBLACK oval 110/4 BCD Asymmetrical 2sp chainring are designed for Shimano cranks such as Dura-Ace 9100, Ultegra 8000, 105 R7000. These are the oval chainrings with market reference in terms of shifting, pedaling smoothness and manufacturing quality. Not compatible with FSA cranks.
Both the inner and outer oval chainrings are optimized with smooth shifting in mind. For this reason, the back of the Oval plate does not have cutouts, like other oval products on the market. Instead, they design smooth, angled surfaces to help the chain slide quickly and precisely between the chainrings. The outer oval chainrings have 6 ramps, for quick and easy gear changing, even under load. Each outer chainring also features 12 downshift points. Instead of steel offset pins, we use a CNC machined 'ramp and gap' solution. Special raised ramps work in conjunction with tooth gaps to stabilize the chain when changing positions. Oval chainrings do NOT require any modifications to the (standard) front derailleur to function properly.
