WHY DO YOU NEED A 'SUPER STEEL' CHAIN FOR E-BIKE?

The drivetrain of an electric bicycle is subject to greater effort and torque compared to conventional bicycles, as a result of the electric motor. This increase in stress causes accelerated wear of all transmission components and, especially, the chainring.
All OE (original equipment) chainrings currently supplied with e-bikes are made from mild steel, which is softer than the steel used in chains. Due to the softness of this material, the chain wears the teeth of the chainrings and they quickly deform, which in turn increases the wear rate of the chain and, ultimately, the cassette.
